Yes, the entire Skin Essentials range is vegan, dermatologically tested, and formulated with purified water.
From the first applications, you will notice an improvement in skin hydration, softness, and comfort. More visible results, such as reduced imperfections or improved tone, are achieved with continuous and consistent use.
Soothing if you also want to calm and reduce imperfections.
Use at night. On clean, dry skin, apply a small amount to the neck and face, avoiding the eye contour area. Allow it to absorb and then follow with a moisturizer.
If you have never used retinoids, start applying gradually. Begin with 2-3 days a week and progressively increase based on your skin's tolerance. Apply sunscreen the following morning.
In general, it is recommended to start with low doses of Retinal, alternating days, and gradually increase the dose according to skin tolerance, as it may cause slight flaking.
If you have never used Retinal, start with the 0.1% concentration; for regular users, the 0.2% concentration can be used, also starting on alternate days to check skin tolerance.
0.1%: recommended for sensitive, dry skin or those who have never used retinoids. It is a gentler option, ideal for getting started without risk of irritation.
0.2%: designed for more experienced users or skin accustomed to retinoids. It has a more intensive action on wrinkles, uneven texture, and visible signs of aging.
Both versions contain encapsulated sustained-release retinal, which maintains efficacy while reducing the risk of skin reactions.
We do not recommend combining it in the same application with vitamin C or exfoliating acids, as they can irritate the skin.
Although its absorption is low and there are no conclusive studies on its risk, as a precaution, the use of retinoid derivatives or vitamin A is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
It should be avoided applying in contact with white garments, since, due to its yellow color, it may transfer to these fabrics. We recommend applying it a while before going to bed or covering the pillow with another cloth.
Vitamin A is absorbed by our body and, in order for it to perform its function in our skin, it must go through the following reactions (known as retinoids) until it reaches retinoic acid:
Retinyl esters -> Retinol -> Retinaldehyde (Retinal) -> Retinoic acid.
Retinal is closer to the final product of the reaction, which makes it a more potent and faster molecule than retinol, as well as being less irritating.
Our Retinal is encapsulated in a reservoir matrix with a sustained-release system that maintains its efficacy and reduces irritation.
Pure retinal is yellow, and due to its concentration, it makes the formula acquire this color.
In addition to the high protection it offers (SPF 50+), its ultra-light and invisible texture will make it your best ally for everyday use. In addition, it has moisturizing, soothing and anti-aging activity.
Sunscreen should be used as the last step in your facial routine, after moisturizing cream. If desired, it can also be used as a primer, before makeup. Its light and silky texture makes it a perfect product for different moments in your routine. Use it however you like!
